Job Summary
|
Seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative products and components. In this role, you will utilize advanced engineering techniques to drive the design process, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across departments to ensure project success.

Job Duties
|
- Manage and oversee the design and development of complex products from concept to production.
- Create, test, and refine prototypes using CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to inform design proposals and improve existing products.
- Work closely with manufacturing, marketing, and quality assurance teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business objectives.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to junior engineers and interns.
- Establish and maintain design briefs, performance criteria, and production specifications.
- Identify and evaluate materials for new products, considering cost, performance, and sustainability.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and cost analyses.
- Champion the user experience by improving product usability and functionality.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the design process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies and implement best practices in design and engineering processes.
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.).
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education
|
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in product design and development.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other design tools.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
