Banquet Server (ON-CALL)

Job Description:
|
To prepare tables, serve and clean for banquet functions.
|
Typical Work Conditions:
|
Ballroom, meeting rooms, lounge and kitchen areas, poolside, paddock, off-site.
|
Equipment Used:
|
Serving carts, chafing dishes, sternos, glassware, china, silverware, tables and chairs, linen, decorations.
|
Qualifications:
|
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Able to communicate in English both written and oral.
- 2nd language helpful.
- Wait staff experience required.
- Hotel or catering experience helpful.
- Bartending experience helpful but not necessary.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work individually and as a team.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Able to lift 25lbs constantly.
- Able to walk or stand for long periods.

Essential Tasks:
|
- Set banquet tables to meet function specifications.
- Deliver and serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments.
- Ensure menu knowledge.
- Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion. of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area.
- Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
- Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
- Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary. to maintain positive working relationships.
- Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning.
- Stocking, folding silverware, etc.
