Role Overview:

As an EHS Engineer, you will work closely with the EHS team to ensure safety protocols and environmental initiatives are being implemented effectively. You will assist in the development and enforcement of safety systems and will contribute to maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of EHS and to be part of a team that is committed to excellence in safety and sustainability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and enforcement of EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including ISO-14001/ISO-45001 standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to help identify and address safety and environmental hazards.
  • Support routine safety audits and facility inspections to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Help provide training to employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and environmental best practices.
  • Assist in maintaining environmental programs such as waste management, pollution control, and sustainability efforts.
  • Support investigations into incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to EHS activities, including compliance audits, OSHA logs, and incident reports.
  • Contribute to other EHS tasks as assigned by the team.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant guidelines.
  • A strong interest in EHS and a desire to learn and grow in this field.

Competencies & Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
