About the Role
MacLean-Fogg, a values-driven company, places Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) at the heart of our operations. We are looking for a passionate EHS Manager to join our dedicated EHS team. In this critical role, you will help drive our Mission Zero initiative by supporting the design and implementation of world-class EHS systems. As an EHS Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance, reducing injuries, and enhancing environmental performance across our facilities.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Environmental, Health and Safety Management Team in implementing and overseeing EHS processes.
- Develop and maintain systems to promote continuous injury reduction and enhance environmental performance.
- Coach and mentor line leaders and plant safety teams on their EHS responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA/EPA requirements and ISO-14001/ISO-45001 certifications.
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
- Review and update internal EHS policies, practices, and procedures.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and track action item closures to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver and manage EHS-related training programs.
- Maintain accurate and organized EHS documentation, including permanent files.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current in EHS regulations and best practices.
- Report directly to the Site General Manager and provide key support to the EHS Steering Team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles within a lean manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations and standards, particularly those from OSHA and EPA.
- Demonstrated success in driving safety and environmental compliance initiatives.
- Experience with EHS management systems and certifications (ISO-14001/ISO-45001).
- Proven ability to lead change with a relentless focus on execution and safety excellence.
