Hotel Valet Parking - Nashville
Position: Valet Driver
Location: Downtown Nashville Hotels
Full time, Part Time and Seasonal Hours Available
As a Valet Driver, you will be responsible for driving, parking, and retrieving guest vehicles to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience upon their arrival and departure. The valet parking attendant returns vehicles from the parking lot promptly and safely and provides excellent customer service to each guest.
The ideal candidate will be a friendly, caring, dedicated individual with good cross-cultural sensitivity and the willingness to put in extra effort and time when required, as well as a passion for serving customers. You will work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with a multi-cultural team and guests alike, while possessing following;

What you can expect in a typical day:
- Create positive customer experiences by consistently providing excellent, 5-star service to Metropolis’ clients and customers.
- Effectively and efficiently park customer vehicles.
- Return customer vehicles upon request in a timely fashion.
- Manage keys.
- Maintain the valet podium or key closet area.
- Assist customers and/or guests with luggage and other items, encouraging a positive arrival and departure experience.
- Monitor the parking/drive up area to keep the flow of vehicles organized (barricades, directing traffic, calling cabs, etc. as needed).
- Assist guests, customers, and staff with general inquiries about parking, site location, directions, amenities, attractions, etc.
- Work independently and as part of the team.
- Observe safety precautions at all times.
- Strong knowledge of smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to process payments using parking technology.
- Accurately use claim check process to return the correct vehicle to each guest.
- Maintain the valet podium or key closet area.
- Other duties as assigned.

What we will expect of you:
Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. Incumbent must be able to
- Stand for up to six (6) consecutive hours
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Safely drive and park both automatic and manual transmission vehicles of all types and sizes
- Move quickly and carefully throughout the parking area
- Communicate effectively in spoken English with team members and customers
- Incumbent must maintain a clean driving record and current, valid driver license

Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills; frequently communicate with team members and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information.
- Ability to drive vehicles of all makes, models, and sizes
- Reliability and responsibility
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Prior valet parking attendant experience preferred
Other Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Expected to constantly work in all outdoor weather conditions
- Required to wear a uniform and follow appropriate grooming standards
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
