Work Schedule: 2nd Shift (M-F 3:30pm-12:00am)

Position Summary: A Machine Operator sets up, operates, and maintains machinery in a manufacturing environment. They ensure equipment runs smoothly, perform routine maintenance, follow safety protocols, and check product quality to meet production standards.

 

Job Responsibilities:  

 

  • Adheres to company safety policies and programs such as Personal Protective
  • Equipment, Incident/Injury Reporting, Hazard Communication and Labeling.
  • Ability to run jobs on lathes CNC machine.
  • Basic GD&T knowledge.
  • Able to run jobs such as following the dispatch priority and schedule.
  • Ability to setup and run jobs efficiently within the allowed time frame.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints.
  • Ability to identify CIP opportunities.
  • Ensures that goals and expectations are met, and product is being developed on schedule.
  • Locate and acquire needed materials for jobs.
  • Ensures equipment is in optimum working order and brings issues to team leaders’ attention when aware of machine interruption.
  • Nesting of jobs through TruTops and moving jobs in Oracle.
  • Ability to use calipers and other measuring tools.
  • Basic understanding of differences in sheet metal.
  • Forklift Certification (on-site training).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and sometimes perform team lifts of up to 75 pounds.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information, 100% of the time.
  • Keeps a neat and organized work station for safety and efficiency, 100% of the time
  • Forms strong working relationships within team and treats each other with respect.
  • Corresponds and collaborates with team members.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting, machine errors, spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality.
  • Maintains documentation and paperwork to include accurate counts of parts.
  • Notifies supervisor of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions immediately.
  • May help train new employees as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Knowledge/Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years CNC lathes operator experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Detail oriented with an ability to solve problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine set-up and operations
