Main Purpose of Job:

 

Under the direction of the Planning Manager or Designee, is responsible for:

           

  • Production planning and customer service.
  • Customer-focused planning orientation. Execute all aspects of planning and scheduling to achieve objectives for service, inventory management and operational goals. It is the focal point for operational performance delivering customer distinction.
  • Strong collaboration with business managers

 

Responsabilities:

 

  • Participate on project teams if required. 
  • Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Schedule (MPS). Identify gaps and drive solutions, including metrics for production performance according to the requested production plan.
  • Assist on other duties, tasks, or projects assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • Support the S&OP process with the customer.
  • Support the Trade Sales review process related to the product lines under his/her responsibility.
  • Support the Inventory analysis related to the product lines under his/her responsibility.
  • Provide the information required for the drumbeat and QBR meetings related to the product lines under his/her responsibility.
  • Customer demand management (POs and forecast)
  • Monitor the ERP to ensure a realistic demand signal for purchasing department.
  • Generate and release production plans for molding and assembly areas.
  • Coordinate with the Logistic department the shipping plans.
  • Interact with all Departments to ensure that production plans are met.
  • Review capacity and material availability to confirm customer requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain planning parameters for manufacturing items.
  • Assist on other duties, tasks, or projects assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • Support and promote the overall EHS initiatives and programs. 
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) defined by Viant's policies, practices and procedures to ensure that FDA and ISO regulations along with Viant quality standards are met.
  • Perform other duties, tasks, or projects at the direction of immediate supervisor.
  • Create Work Orders (WO).
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports from the ERP.
  • Assist on other duties, tasks, or projects assigned by the immediate supervisor.

 

Knowledge / Education

  • English proficiency: Fluent/Advanced.
  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineer or Business Administration.
  • Knowledge on ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques (Green Belt).
  • Additional Knowledge it’s considered a Plus
    • Knowledge of Six Sigma Methodology (green belt certification) and Lean Manufacturing.

 

Job Experience

  • More than 2 years of experience in planning and manufacturing environment.
  • Experience within the medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical fields, or any other highly regulated industry (i.e. food, aerospace, etc.) is a plus.

Physical / Licenses Requirements:

  • Passport required.
  • Able to travel inside and outside the country occasionally.
