Sr Cost Accountant

Our Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for preparing and analyze the cost variance reports, control of operational spending, month end close, Bank account reconciliation; STD cost roll up which includes review of the annual rates and analysis of inventory trends and risks. Must be prepare and monitor a cost-effective data needed to provide an appropriate level of costing information for management use influencing the business directly.

Main Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing variances: Tracking the appropriate use for all manufacturing accounts: PPV, Scrap, Cycle Count & others inventory variances.
• Analyze management reports as requested by Supervisor. (Controllable expenses report, weekly manufacturing report, scrap report)
• Act as the liaison between the value stream team, management and other internal customer
• Develop and deploy performance/reporting improvement ideas & tools that support Finance company wide.
• Support all activities from the NPI finance point of view (Monthly NPI tracker, Quote comparison, Weekly meetings, etc)
• Update standard costs every end of year
• Price analysis twice a year (meetings, analysis)
• Review, lead & validate company VIP’s initiatives.

Knowledge / Education:

• Bachelor´s Degree in Public Accounting or Business-related field
• Advanced English level
• Required proficiency in MS-Office mainly: Excel (index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, look-ups) & MS-Power Point
• Proficient in ERP systems.
• Basic knowledge in applicable safety regulations
• Background on US GAAP accounting and general accounting concepts
• Advanced knowledge of applicable Free Tax Zone regulations

Work Experience:

• +3 solid years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment
• Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards
• Inventory accounting experience
