Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor

The Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all production equipment and machinery, and is responsible for repair, maintenance and appearance of the facility. It will also be in charge of Environmental, Health and Safety programs such as recycling, OSHA, and hazard waste disposal handling.
Job Responsibilities:
- Directs and/or completes the repair and maintenance of production equipment and machinery
- Plans and conducts facility shut downs for facilities and equipment maintenance.
- Coordinate and maintain the proper methods, procedures and handling of non-hazardous waste in the plant and removal of waste from the plant
- Responsible for safety training as well as insuring that all areas of the operation meet or exceed safety and environmental requirements
- Responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of all molding and assembly equipment included but not limited to: Sandretto, Niigata, Arburg, Toyo, Nissei, Engel, dryers, color Feeders, high temperature water units, robots, vision systems, general conveyors, TransTech Orion series pad printers, sonic welders, laser etching equipment, Form Fill Seal machines (FFS), Loctite UV ovens, epoxy machines, fume and particulate hoods
- Respond to production and/or facility emergencies to maintain production output
- Purchase new production equipment and new equipment installations
- Purchase replacement parts and maintain a spare parts inventory of critical machine parts.
- Assists with liaisons to public utility, environmental and energy agencies including OSHA, State & Federal Environmental regulatory bodies
- Conduct training for the appropriate personnel on the use of production equipment and/or maintenance of the equipment and appropriate repair procedures.
- Oversee all personnel actions – hiring, disciplinary measures, promotions, wage increases, transfers and timely performance appraisals.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Requirements
Education/Certification
- College degree in a technical field with applicable experience (Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance environments
- Minimum 2 years of involvement on safety teams and/or committees
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or lead role capacity.
- Understanding and experience in an industrial environment with electrical, transformers, compressor systems, pressurized air and HEPA filtration systems.
- Experience with molding manufacturing equipment
Physical Requirements
- Able to sit or stand for long periods
- Able to work in awkward positions, bend at waist and knees for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 30lbs. frequently and up to 70lbs. occasionally
- Must not be afraid of heights or working on ladders with proper safety precautions in place
- Overtime may be required on short notice from time to time to facilitate unforeseen changes to the schedule

We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is $85k-$105k annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
