We have one of the largest snowsports schools in the Northwest Region with 15+ Ed Staff, Examiners and Technical Team Members on our roster.

 

The Ski & Snowboard School Training Supervisor is integral to the success of the Meadows Learning Center with close to 400 instructors. This position will supervise all instructor training programs and assist with other department daily operations as needed. The Ski & Snowboard Training Supervisor will be responsible for but not limited to: organizing pre-season new instructor training content; recruiting and tracking pre-training tasks like E-Learning courses and registering to attend on-snow training; helping develop the schedule and agenda for new and returning instructor training in December; conducting and/or organizing a 30-day check in and ride-along for rookie instructors; conducting and/or organizing ride-along sessions for returning instructors to evaluate teaching and skiing/riding performance; scheduling discipline specific cross training to maximize utilization of full time instructors; scheduling and coordinating Point of Sale and Rental Center Tech Certification and Training for full time instructors; scheduling both voluntary and paid training clinics for skiing, riding and teaching improvement; working with the Operations & Training Manager to grow and evolve the department training programs.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current PSIA-AASI Member with Level II Certification
  • Familiarity and demonstration of contemporary teaching and skiing and/or riding
  • Familiarity with most ski and snowboard school operations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while managing large groups
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Microsoft Office, POS, RTP or similar and web-based tools skills and experience
  • Strong guest service skills and experience
  • Minimum of two seasons teaching snow sports experience or equivalent 
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays during the winter season
  • Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business
  • Employment in this position is subject to a satisfactory criminal background screening

 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Supervisory experience 
  • PSIA-AASI Level III Certification in one or more disciplines
  • Specialist Accreditation(s)(i.e. CS, FS, SS) in one or more specialties
  • PSIA-AASI Divisional Clinic Leader Experience

 

  

Compensation:

  • Starting Wage: $22.59 Hourly
