Job Description
Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Department: Warehouse – Northern Region
General Summary: Assures that all internal and external customers receive orders in a timely, cost effective and accurate manner. Builds positive employee relationships and balances the work activities/scheduling according to business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees all operational duties of the warehouse staff (shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory, delivery, etc); may provide assistance throughout the warehouse.
- Coordinates warehouse staffing needs with the Senior Warehouse Leadership.
- Assists with departmental cross training and in professional development of team members.
- Maintains safety, quality and productivity standards established by the leadership team. Reports any concerns to Senior Warehouse Leadership.
- Communicates with Senior Warehouse Leadership and provides feedback including employee counseling and coaching actions initiated to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Understands and applies the policies of the employee handbook with day to day application of the following sections: Timekeeping and Payroll, Work Conditions and Hours, and Employee Conduct and Disciplinary Action.
- Oversees and troubleshoots logistics, inventory, and general customer service-related issues.
- Certified to operate all warehouse machinery.
- Assists in creating, implementing, and revising ISO quality procedures and work instructions.
- Supports the implementation and processes of third-party warehouse software applications, such as TWL, DQ, Globalship, and their successors.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred or demonstrated progression toward degree completion. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of an Associate’s degree.
- Three or more years of experience in warehouse operations.
- One year of warehouse leadership experience.
- Proven leadership ability with good organizational skills, attention to detail and good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze information requirements and needs, identify problems and solve to ensure efficient utilization of work processes.
- Working knowledge of WebUI Business System and MS Office products including Excel and Word.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports To: Regional Warehouse Manager
Direct Reports: Warehouse Team
Working Conditions: Day Shift and Split / Night Shift schedule as assigned.
