HR Business Partner
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units/regions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.
Responsibilities include:
- Aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated business units/region.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts objective investigations.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to business units (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Provides input and risk analysis on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Consults with internal and external legal partners as needed.
- Consults with business unit leaders to drive employee engagement and retention.
- Drives strategic workforce planning: ensure the company’s workforce has the right size, shape, cost, and agility for the future.
- Collaborate with HR subject matter experts as needed.
- Becomes the first point of contact for all HR and safety related topics and will utilize the centralized HR team to ensure follow-through and world class customer service to our employees.
- Contribute to the building of departmental plans and projects, supporting in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards and fully confidential.
- This business partner retains the authority to make decisions regarding staffing in the company’s best interests, including: hiring, termination, coaching (etc..)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities to be successful include:
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communications
- Extensive computer knowledge and demonstrated ability in HRIS (Dayforce)
- Intermediate knowledge of employment laws
- Intermediate labor relations, investigation management
- Intermediate knowledge of benefits and compensation
- Excellent organizational skills
- Sensitive treatment of confidential information
- Experience in an environment supporting both hourly and salaried populations
- Ability to demonstrate managerial courage with all levels within the organization
Education / Experience :
- Master’s and/or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of multi-disciplined Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment
