Executive Assistant for Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) EVP – Japanese and English Bilingual
Purpose of the Position/Job Summary:
The Executive Assistant will provide multi-faceted administrative support and assistance to Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) (MCA)'s Executive Vice President. This position will provide administrative support and assistance to ensure effective use of the executives' time and productive interactions with staff and the public. They will also conduct research and information gathering on behalf of the executive and prepare complex summaries and reports.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provides administrative support to MCA’s Executive Vice President, including managing their calendars, scheduling appointments and meetings, and preparing meeting materials.
- Coordinates complex travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and ground transportation.
- Conducts research and information gathering on behalf of the executive and prepares complex summaries and reports.
- Develops and maintains positive and strategic relationships with staff and external stakeholders.
- Organizes and maintains filing systems and databases, and handles confidential information with discretion.
- Coordinates special projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Supports the executive in the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documents.
- Assists with other administrative and support tasks as needed.
- Assists Corporate Planning and Coordination Department (CPCD) assistants in providing proper coverage for the organization's executives, SVPs, and guests. Provides backup support and coverage for other assistants and executives in the organization as requested.
- Conducts research and information gathering on behalf of the executive. Translates summaries and reports from Japanese into English and takes summary notes in English during Japanese-language management meetings.
- Supports corporate planning and business strategy cycles, including preparing and translating documents.
Key Qualifications - REQUIRED:
- Develops positive and strategic relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Uses discretion, judgement, and knowledge of the organization to facilitate the executive's activities and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Full bilingual fluency in Japanese and English
- Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in a similar role.
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Key Qualifications - PREFERRED:
- Previous experience with SAP and other administrative systems.
- Previous experience in a Japanese company.

Compensation
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $99,815.51 - $125,089.95. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for an international language premium of 5% and overtime. The bonus target for this position is 6%. Compensation decisions are dependent on the specific details and circumstances of each hire, such as experience, skills, and education.

MCA follows a hybrid schedule working in-office at least three days a week and remotely for the rest of most positions. Our in-office time is used primarily for team meetings and formal and informal collaboration.
