Join our team at May Center for School in Norwood as a Lead Classroom Instructor and work in a classroom assisting the Senior Teacher with lead responsibilities and providing services to our students.   As a Lead Classroom Instructor, you'll work hand-in-hand with our dedicated team of behavior analysts and educators to implement personalized behavior intervention plans, foster positive social interactions, and cultivate essential skills in a dynamic classroom environment, becoming a key player in shaping the educational journey of students with significant challenges.

  • Skill Building: You'll be instrumental in implementing personalized behavior intervention plans crafted by our skilled behavior analysts, guiding students toward positive behavioral outcomes.  

  • Direct Support: In the classroom, you'll provide hands-on support to students, fostering positive behaviors and encouraging meaningful social interactions that enhance their learning experience.  

  • Collaborative Teamwork: Join forces with teachers and fellow educational staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.  

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Your keen eye for detail will be essential as you collect and analyze data on student progress and behavior, ensuring accurate documentation that guides our strategies and interventions.  

  • Participation: Dive into team meetings and training sessions, where you'll contribute your insights and expertise, staying at the forefront of best practices in ABA therapy to continuously enhance student outcomes.  

  • Communication and Training: Strengthen the bridge between home and school by effectively communicating with parents and caregivers, providing valuable updates on student progress and offering strategies for consistency and support beyond the classroom.  

 

Your Skills and Talents: A Winning Combination!  

  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older to join our team and embark on this rewarding journey.  

  • Driver’s License: A valid and current U.S. driver’s license is required for this role, enabling you to navigate and support our community effectively.  

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree or enrolment in a master's program is highly preferred. It being in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred. It lays a strong foundation for understanding and supporting individuals with developmental challenges.  

  • Experience: Previous experience working with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is highly preferred. Your hands-on experience adds depth to our team's expertise 

  • Availability: Monday-Friday 7:15am-3:45pm

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are key. We value your ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, educators, and families, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.  

  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are vital, especially in tasks like data collection and documentation. Your meticulous approach ensures accuracy and reliability in our records.
