Special Education Teacher
The May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders in Norwood, MA is seeking a Special Education Teacher to lead a classroom and deliver specialized services to children and adolescents with brain injury and neurobehavioral disorders.
The May Institute in Norwood is one of only a few pediatric programs in the United States focusing on both education and rehabilitation of children and adolescents with brain injury, neurobehavioral disorders, and other complex diagnoses. You will be the orchestrator of classroom success, providing coordination and leadership in the following areas:
- Academic achievement
- Individually tailored educational programs & curriculum development
- Creating a positive and supportive classroom environment
- Social and self-regulation skill development
- Vocational skills
- Self-care skills
Partnering with a local university, the May Institute provides up to full tuition coverage for a master’s degree with a focus on Severe Special Education. Candidates who are interested in pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply.

Your Skills and Talents: A Winning Combination!
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Current MA State Teaching License in Special Education or current enrollment in an accredited teaching licensure program.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a knack for identifying and resolving challenges.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and compassion for children and families.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to drive team success.
- Experience with ABA principles a plus.
