The May Institute is seeking an Assistant Program Director at Western Massachusetts. This is a full-time position that includes Monday through Friday (8:30-4:30) with on-call duties on weekend rotations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure residential programs meet all regulatory and procedural standards
- Supervise Program Coordinators
- Oversee residential operations related (but not limited) to:
- Maintenance and appearance of assigned programs
- Regulatory compliance
- Resident care and support
- Staff scheduling, recruitment, training, and performance management
- Manage vacancies and overtime utilization within assigned residences
- Share on-call responsibilities
- Manage documentation related to licensing
- Participate in a variety of meetings as required
- Work collaboratively with multiple teams and families
- Assist in the development and implementation of initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred
- Three years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and implementing physical intervention strategies (e.g., Safety Care)
- Three years of Supervisory experience managing programs.
- Experience in Human Services program management and supervision.
- Ability to lead a team and supervise 4 to 6 program coordinators
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to independently travel between sites
