Principal Responsibilities:
- Travel extensively in the Gulf Coast to perform maintenance and repairs to various engines aboard vessels.
- Troubleshoot and replace pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
- Assist the Port Engineer on repairs to vessels on dry dock.
- Visit vessels in operation for repair and preventive maintenance planning.
- Work on-call rotation, ensuring coverage after hours and on weekends and holidays.
- Perform other duties and activities as directed by VP of Engineering and Port Engineers.
Qualifications:
- John Deere, Detroit, Caterpillar and/or Cummins engine experience, preferred.
- Experience with Twin Disc and Reintjes gears.
- Experience with HVAC and Electrical systems.
- Knowledge of ZF Marine Z drive units a plus.
- TWIC Required.
- Valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record required.
- Ability to travel. (Company vehicle provided)
