What You’ll Do:
- Manage all aspects of perishables shipping, from receiving customer orders to preparing airline bills and ensuring safe transport.
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and carriers to facilitate seamless operations.
- Operate within both office and warehouse settings, handling shipments, loading, and unloading as needed.
- Drive our panel truck occasionally to support delivery efforts.
- Track and trace shipments, ensuring they meet time and cost expectations.
- Maintain a clean workspace and perform regular truck inspections.
- Support the team with flexibility and commitment, including seasonal overtime.
What You Bring:
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years’ work experience (office experience a plus).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for customer and team interactions.
- Math Skills: Proficiency in basic math, including freight rates and volume calculations.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Able to make quick, informed decisions and handle unexpected situations.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally, with regular physical movement.
Requirements:
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA) or a TSA recognized equivalent.
- Physical ability to work in various weather conditions and around machinery, with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud.
