Position Summary:

Liberty Resources is seeking applicants for Nurse Manager as part of a cross-functional heath care team of the Integrated Health Care Center representing the nursing staff and its needs among providers, administrators, and other personnel. This position leads and directly supervises the clinical team of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) including Registered Nurses (RN), licensed practical nurses (LPN), medical assistants, and non-clinical staff.  As a daily operational leader of the CCBHC, you will report to and work directly with the Director of Nursing to develop and institute policies and procedures, develop smooth and efficient workflows, contribute to safe and effective patient care, and represent the nursing discipline within Liberty Resources.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating nursing processes and daily CCBHC operations.
  • Assists in providing direct patient care (E.g. injections, assessments, EKGs, venipuncture and lab draws) as needed. Supports the nursing team in their clinical responsibilities including but not limited to medication refills, triaging, prior authorizations, and other clinical tasks.
  • Consults with patients and families as appropriate to ensure the communication of pertinent health-related information.
  • Direct supervision of nursing staff and non-clinical staff to ensure safe and appropriate division of labor, workflows, and patient care are being administered at all times.
  • Completes all required documentation, in timelines in accordance with program standards.
  • Reports and works closely with the Director of Nursing on all human resource related tasks including but not limited to recruitment, training, staff development, performance improvement plans, clinical competencies and re-certifications of nursing and medical assistant staff.
  • Demonstrate the values of diversity, equity and belonging; foster an inclusive environment that facilitates diversity.
  • Participate in the oversight of quality of patient care and outcomes. Tasks include reviewing daily caseloads, providing clinical advice to patients, patient triage, discussing overall patient care, reinforcing patient care standards, or other general and specific clinical duties.
  • Work with administration, the Medical Director and Director of Nursing in the management of the CCBHC and IHC, including its policies and procedures, monitoring patient related statistics, coordinating exam room utilization, developing and implementing standardized procedures and practices, following all DOH. OMH, OASAS, HIPAA AND OSHA standards.
  • Carries out agency policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with an unrestricted NYS license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required with 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to participate in direct patient care as needed.

 

Salary Range: $105,000 to $110,000.
