ORR Youth Shelter - Bilingual (Spanish) Case Manager

The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate bilingual (Spanish) Case Manager to support refugee and displaced youth ages in their resettlement journey. In this vital role, you will assist young clients in navigating the challenges of integrating into a new community by connecting them to essential resources such as education, healthcare, housing, and legal services. You will work closely with each youth to develop personalized service plans, provide emotional support, and ensure they have the tools to thrive in their new environment. Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work with youth in complex situations are essential
Hourly Pay Rate: $25.65
Schedule: Tuesday- Saturday (9am-5pm)
Location: Mesa, AZ
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Human Services, or Social Services, required.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish; including, having the ability to read legal documentation in Spanish.
Experience:
- 3-years of progressive employment experience that demonstrated supervisory and case management experience in a 24-hour service facility.
- 1-year experience with or applicable knowledge of ORR policy and procedures; including, all aspects of case management, services, sponsor assessments, and safe and timely release.
- Child welfare and/or case management experience strongly preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Directly responsible to supervisor for administrative and clinical issues regarding admission, discharge and utilization of management issues, while being in conformance with accepted clinical practices and the agency's program definition and policies (as relevant to the program/client needs.)
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, their family members, and significant support systems.
- Develop Individual Service Plans.
- Screen for human trafficking concerns.
- Meet frequently with clients in-person and family members via telephone; provide up-to-date information on case status and new developments regarding progress and discharge planning.
- Coordinate and assist with completion of all necessary documentation as designated by ORR and agency standards.
- Document (verbal/written) and submit significant and routine paperwork such as progress notes, statistical reports, provision of services, daily activities, upcoming events, special concerns, varied incident reports, etc., as required by the program and submit to appropriate personnel.
- Co-develop Safety/Care Plans for clients, as necessary. This plan may be simple or complex, depending on the risk factors presented by the client and family.
- Update and complete staffing notes for multi-disciplinary clinical and case management team reviews and ensuring that the treatment plan is carried out.
Assess and evaluate strengths, weaknesses, and safety of the client's future placement. Assist in developing plans to strengthen placement, as needed.
