At A New Leaf, we are dedicated to creating meaningful change in the lives of families through our Nurturing Parenting Program. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Nurturing Parenting Practitioner to join our team and make a lasting impact by providing invaluable support to families in need. In this pivotal role, you will empower parents, strengthen family dynamics, and help build safer, healthier homes.
As a Nurturing Parenting Practitioner, you’ll be on the front lines of family transformation. You will provide direct support to families, assisting them in building nurturing, positive relationships within their homes. You’ll have the opportunity to facilitate group sessions, conduct individualized assessments, and deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to each family's unique needs. Hourly Pay Rate: $18 - $22 (depending on education and experience)
Location: Maricopa County, AZ
Required Orientation: Our "New Hire Orientation" is held the first week of employment, Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at our HR Campus in Mesa, AZ. Early release may be granted upon completion of orientation requirements. Note: Orientation is not available during evenings or weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
- NPP I: High School diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in the child welfare field.
- NPP II: Associate degree in Human Services or a related field with at least 2 years of experience in the child welfare field.
- NPP III: Associate degree in Human Services or a related field with over 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of family dynamics, child development, and family-centered services.
- Experience working with multi-problem families and familiarity with community resources.
- Expertise in cultural competency, trauma-informed care, and working with issues such as substance abuse, child abuse and neglect, and mediation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate evidence-based group sessions and individualized parent skill-building sessions.
- Provide support to families involved with the Department of Child Safety, strengthening protective factors to reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect.
- Conduct home visits to assess family dynamics and provide targeted interventions that align with the Nurturing Parenting Program’s curriculum.
- Develop and maintain confidential case records, document communications and service progress, and prepare necessary reports.
- Foster collaborative relationships with Child Protective Services and other service providers, ensuring comprehensive support for families.
- Offer flexible, family-centered services that meet the unique needs and schedules of each family, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
