This vital role ensures that supervised visitations between children and non-custodial parents or family members are conducted in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. As a Supervised Visitation Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in fostering positive connections between children and their non-custodial parents or family members. Your ability to provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment will directly impact the well-being and emotional growth of the families you serve. Whether you’re seeking part-time or full-time hours, we will work with you to create a schedule that accommodates both the needs of the families and your personal commitments.

 

Hourly Pay Rate: $18 - $20 (depending on education and experience)

Location: Maricopa County, AZ

 

Required Orientation: All new hires are required to complete a "New Hire Orientation" held Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at our HR Campus in Mesa, AZ. Orientation is not available during evenings or weekends. Early release may be granted based on completion of orientation requirements.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: Experience working with children or in child welfare preferred.

Skills: Strong communication skills, professionalism, and empathy. Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and care.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and facilitate supervised visitations between children and non-custodial parents or other family members, ensuring safety and emotional support.
  • Provide transportation for children to and from visit locations, adhering to safety regulations and documenting all travel details.
  • Monitor, observe, and document interactions during visits, noting key behaviors, and intervening when necessary to ensure a safe environment.
  • Communicate program rules and guidelines to clients and ensure adherence during visitations.
  • Assess visits and provide de-escalation interventions or terminate visits if the safety or well-being of the child is compromised.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including visit reports and mileage tracking, and submit necessary paperwork as required by program policies.
  • Provide services across a variety of schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the families.
  • Participate in regular client care supervision to ensure adherence to best practices and state regulations.
  • Safely lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
