A New Leaf's Early Childhood Education - Phoenix Day Program is hiring 3 Early Childhood Education Teachers! Our Phoenix Day Program has been a cornerstone in South Phoenix for over 100 years, dedicated to nurturing and empowering children from diverse backgrounds. Openings Available for:
Toddler Teacher: Be the caring guide who supports 1 to 2-year-olds, our littlest learners as they begin their educational journey. Through playful exploration, you’ll help toddlers develop early social, motor, and language skills in a loving and supportive environment.
Preschool Teacher
Phoenix Day seeks a Preschool Teacher to support 2.5 to 3.5-year-olds in a bilingual, child-centered environment. You'll foster each child’s growth through engaging, age-appropriate activities that nurture development and social-emotional skills.
Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
We’re hiring a PK2 Teacher to prepare 4.5 to 5-year-olds for kindergarten in a Spanish-English immersion setting. This role involves creating a supportive, inclusive classroom that meets each child's developmental needs and celebrates diversity.
Hourly Pay Rate: $16.00 - $17.50 DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 9:30am - 6pm
Location: Phoenix, AZ
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School or GED required
- Bachelor's in early education preferred
Experience:
- At least 6 months of experience in early child daycare or school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Educate, supervise and care of children.
- Assist in planning and preparing the environment and activities for children.
- Assist with classroom education, assessments, and lesson planning.
- Work directly with children in an instruction setting Prepare daily reports, health checks and other documentation as required by the Phoenix Day program and other agencies CACFP, ADHS, etc.
- Establish and maintain a rapport with parents.
- Welcome and work with visitors and volunteers.
- Ensure the safety of children at all times.
- Clean up, diapering, potty-training of children – if age appropriate
- Serve meals and drinks to children.
- Teach children healthy personal habits.
Compliance:
- Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Must be able to pass various background checks
- Must pass pre-employment drug test
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
- Current Auto Liability Insurance
- Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age
