ORR Youth Shelter -Bilingual (Spanish) Lead Case Manager
A New Leaf's licensed and accredited 24-hour youth shelter for children (ages 12-17) that offer specialized case management for the purpose of family reunification. Meals, education and warm place to sleep are provided along with activities to keep the children’s spirits up and deliver round-the-clock care.
Our dedicated staff provide a safe and stable environment in which to foster the optimal growth and development of each child. Supporting objectives include improved physical/Mental health, improved education/vocation skill development and timely family reunification and/or release planning.
We are searching for a full time Spanish/English Bilingual Lead Case Manager to be a part of the already amazing and dedicated team.
Salary: $63,036
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm
Location: Mesa, AZ
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly responsible to the Clinical Director, in collaboration with the Lead Clinician, for administrative and clinical issues regarding admission, discharge and utilization of management issues, while being in conformance with accepted clinical practices and the agency's program definition and policies (as relevant to the program/client needs).
- Serve as liaison between assigned children, sponsors, Short-term Shelter program and the Multi-disciplinary treatment team.
- Participate in, and coordinate the treatment plan reviews, educational plan meetings and alternative staffing as needed.
- Provide direct supervision of Case Management staff; including, staff interviewing, hiring, coaching, evaluating, and disciplinary actions.
- Responsible for training new case managers and supervising the work of the other case managers and will complete and monitor timely documentation completion.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, their family members, and significant support systems.
- Develop Individual Service Plans.
- Screen for human trafficking concerns.
- Assign cases immediately upon youth’s arrival or the next business day.
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Human Services, or Social Services, required.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Child welfare and/or case management experience strongly preferred.
- Ensure that case managers properly close all physical and digital case files upon youth leaving the shelter.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Human Services, or Social Services, required.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish; including, having the ability to read legal documentation in Spanish.
Experience:
- 3-years of progressive employment experience that demonstrated supervisory and case management experience in a 24-hour service facility.
- 3-years’ experience meeting strict deadlines.
- 1-year experience with or applicable knowledge of ORR policy and procedures; including, all aspects of case management, services, sponsor assessments, and safe and timely release.
- Child welfare and/or case management experience strongly preferred.
