Join Our Growing Team as an AWS DevOps / Software Engineer!
We are seeking a passionate and experienced AWS DevOps/Software Engineer to play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our SaaS products hosted on AWS. You’ll work with a collaborative team to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that drive real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Execution:
- Design, develop, and deliver SaaS products hosted on AWS using service-based architectures.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code and perform peer reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Leverage AWS services (e.g., EKS, Lambda, ECS) to build scalable and resilient applications.
Architecture and Scalability:
- Contribute to architectural decisions that support scalable, secure, and maintainable systems, including the use of AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
- Identify and implement performance improvements and workflow enhancements.
- Optimize AWS infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Terragrunt to balance performance, cost-efficiency, and maintainability.
Quality Assurance and Testing:
- Work closely with QA to ensure robust testing strategies, including automated testing where appropriate.
- Support the adoption of a “shift-left” testing approach by addressing quality early in the development cycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
Collaboration and Agile Practices:
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Partner with other team members to own DevOps role responsibilities, to help maintain and enhance CI/CD infrastructure as code pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Argo CD for automated deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across production and non-production environments.
- Partner with DevOps to maintain and enhance deployment pipelines and monitoring systems.
Who you are:
You are an experienced engineering leader with a passion for building and scaling SaaS products on AWS. You excel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on DevOps practices, production troubleshooting, and empowering teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key Qualifications:
- Expertise in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Terragrunt).
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex production environments.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Proven experience building and scaling SaaS products on AWS, including leveraging service-based architectures and AWS EKS.
- Strong proficiency with modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Handlebar, JavaScript, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira.
- Familiarity with Redis, Mongo, and Elastic Search
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data-intensive platforms or workflows.
- Background in law enforcement or related industries is a plus.
