SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Finance Business Partner Apprentice is an entry-level apprenticeship position within the CFO Group that is designed to develop foundational skill sets for a career within the group.
To help broaden the skill set of the incumbent, they will rotate periodically through the various disciplines within the CFO Group (e.g., FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, EPMO). In each area, the incumbent will be assigned responsibilities for their development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
In each area that they are assigned, the incumbent is expected to perform a variety of tasks related to the successful operations of the area including,
- Assist with analysis of financial results, trends, and metrics for more revenue-generating lines of business and support units.
- Assist with developing and preparing the monthly reporting package, including variance analysis vs. Budget, and tracking key metrics.
- In partnership with business leaders, assist with developing the annual operating budget for assigned business units.
- Assist with the preparation of the General Ledger and demand deposit reconciliations and reporting.
- Support the EPMO unit to ensure the bank projects remain on time and within scope, report progress, manage expectations and risk, and realize post-implementation benefits.
- The AICPA’s Registered apprenticeship is approved through the U.S Department of Labor.
- The CGMA Finance Leadership Program is a guided, digital learning and assessment route to help the team grow into holistic accounting and finance professionals, valued business partners and earn the prestigious CGMA designation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong interest in starting or progressing in a career in Finance or Accounting
- A business-related degree (A.S. or higher) or some college coursework and a willingness to pursue a college degree online while working.
- Strong Excel skills
- Good analytical skills
- Flexibility, eagerness to learn.
- Willingness to enroll in and complete an AICPA online Finance certification program that leads to a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) credential.
