Deposit Operations Internship

This is a 10-week Summer Internship, with Full-Time Hours located on-site in Middletown, CT
SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
The Deposit Operations Intern takes responsibility to investigate and research EFT Error Resolution disputes in accordance with Regulation Electronic Funds Transfer requirements. Process chargeback adjustment entries to Fiserv. Acts as the main point of contact for customer related questions and requests and ensures timely resolution of customer debit card issues.
In addition, the intern will also provide and support Business’s with the TM Products and service to support their cash flow. Collaborate with Sales to onboard new customers and transition to Support Team for ongoing assist and maintenance for all TM services. Operations tasks to ensure daily tasks are verified and managed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Treasury Management Services (TMS)
- Become familiar high level with all products and services, via training and shadowing.
- Access and knowledge of key systems, Insight, FIS/CCX, SharePoint
- Assist with quality control and ensure accuracy of customer profiles across systems
- Work directly with Implementation specialists to verify key info within customer profiles i.e. Remote Deposit Capture
- Provide reports and daily/weekly status of assigned tasks
- Follows established Bank policies, procedures, and security measures including BSA and OFAC related policies and procedures.
Deposit Services
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail requests
- Participate in Team meetings
- Provides prompt and courteous customer support to internal/external inquiries and requests.
- Always maintains customer confidentiality by adhering to privacy regulations.
- Completes required training (on-line and in-person) by set due dates.
- Follows established Bank policies, procedures, and security measures including BSA and OFAC related policies and procedures.
- Adheres to applicable federal and state regulations, OFAC, BSA, Patriot Act, Privacy and consumer protection regulations pertaining to incumbent’s business line.
- Performs other related activities within the Deposit Operations Unit as assigned.
EFT
- Analyze complex financial transactions utilizing multiple systems, databases, applications and reports to identify fraudulent or unusual account activity.
- Accurately and efficiently performs balancing and reconciling tasks, including remote ATM settlement as needed.
- Administers all Fiserv alerts related to customer requests in a timely manner.
- Oversees debit card inventory for Instant Issue.
- Provides prompt and courteous customer support to internal/external inquiries and requests.
- Always maintains customer confidentiality by adhering to privacy regulations.
- Completes required training (on-line and in-person) by set due dates.
- Follows established Bank policies, procedures, and security measures including BSA and OFAC related policies and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
