Compact & Utility Tractor Business Specialist (Field)

BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
This role is responsible for identifying opportunities for growth within Sub-Compact, Compact, and Utility Tractor (CUT) segments and for assisting in the creation of action plans to capitalize on those opportunities. In addition, this role is responsible for providing dealers and Kubota personnel with up-to-date intelligence on the CUT market for their assigned area.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
- Analyze, monitor, and report on the CUT market. Analysis will include sales performance, performance of competitive brands, competitive pricing strategies, sales tactics, on-line presence, etc.
- Provide CUT market intelligence including market trends, competitive pricing, and competitive market share trends.
- Assist assigned Division with completing, implementing, tracking, and reporting of the CUT Business plan.
- Provide training on CUT product and markets for dealership salespeople and new Kubota employees.
- Assist assigned dealers and Divisions with marketing efforts to promote the CUT product line.
- Assist assigned Divisions, Regional Sales Managers (RSM), and dealers with identifying opportunities for growth and increasing profits.
- Assist assigned dealers and RSM’s with answering any CUT questions regarding products, marketing, or programing.
- Act as a liaison between the RSM’s/Divisions and the Corporate Office.
- Be the “go-to” person for providing Corporate Office information regarding the current state of business as it pertains to the CUT products.
- Assist in planning, implementation, and reporting for product & customer surveys.
- Support and attend trade shows, sales meetings, and dealer meetings to promote assigned product line. This includes demonstrations, classroom trainings, and presentations.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agribusiness, Communications (or related field preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in an Agricultural Machinery Business or a similar discipline
- Knowledge:

- Basic knowledge of assigned product line / market, or ability to be trained rapidly.
- Mechanical aptitude including the ability to operate equipment within assigned product line and/or willingness to learn.
- Technology: Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint and the ability to quickly learn and use other software packages.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a driver’s license.
EQUIPMENT OPERATION: Equipment operation will consist of product demonstrations, trade show preparation, competitive comparisons, photo, or video shoots.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lift up to 50 pounds, travel 75% by road or plane.
