BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
Provide technical support to Kubota dealers and internal departments to improve their product knowledge and training, effectiveness and efficiency of repair and maintenance, and the quality of their operations. Monitor, analyze and report the need to improve product quality and maintain customer satisfaction.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
- Provide technical support to Kubota dealers and other Kubota departments and entities via phone, on-line systems and messages, and on-site visits. Attempt to resolve concerns during the first contact. Report on recommendations and actions.
- Coordinate activities with the Warranty and Parts Departments as required.
- Inform dealer and company personnel about service concerns and/or solutions via Service Bulletins, Top Issues, telephone conversations, Call Records, and other forms of communication.
- Provide training to dealers, co-workers, and other company staff on products, Kubota systems, and servicing methods.
- Support Kubota’s Sales Organization at both internal and external Company events, addressing product complaints and field product questions.
- Through self-training, continually increase product knowledge using Technical Service Reports, Service/Sales Bulletins, Call Records, Engineering Releases, and other available resources. Actively participate in available technical training.
- Monitor and research product developments in the market and report as appropriate.
- Conduct other activities related to this position as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND TRAINING:
At least two year Associate Degree in a technical field related to the tractor, AG, or excavator industry. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:
- Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts and repair methods verbally in fluent English. Very good written communications skills to explain technical concepts, report on technical investigations.
- Problem solving skills - being able to analyze information to create and communicate repair solutions.
- Technical skills – proven experience with hands-on repair of tractors and/or excavators.
- Judgment - Being able to make good decisions and useful recommendations based on the information provided by dealers and other sources.
- Interpersonal skill - Being able to work well with others.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be physically able to perform any repair on any Kubota equipment sold in the United States. Must be physically able and licensed to operate cars and light trucks on public roadways in the U.S. Must be physically able to conduct independent travel to any location within the United States.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Performance of the duties of this job will expose the person to potential hazards including, noise, chemicals, paints, fuels, dust, heat, moving parts and operation of mechanical or electrical equipment.
The position may require walking, standing, stooping, and transporting materials or parts on a
regular basis, up to OSHA limits.
