ABOUT TERRAMOR OUTDOOR RESORT

Terramor Outdoor Resort is a luxury outdoor resort brand owned by KOA, Inc. The resort opened its first location in Bar Harbor, Maine, in August of 2020 and is projected to grow in the next couple of years. Terramor offers a more elevated camping experience, with safari-style tents encompassing king-size beds, ensuite bathrooms, and lush linens. The property also has main Lodge with a bar and restaurant, pool and onsite wellness tent. Following KOA’s mission of “connecting people to the outdoors and each other,” Terramor opens the outdoors to individuals who would not consider themselves campers to develop a life-long appreciation for nature.

MARKETING SPECIALISTS

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Specialist is a dynamic role responsible for creating, editing, and managing high-quality, branded content across various platforms, including blogs, email campaigns, websites, and social media. This position will also support broader marketing efforts such as Terramor Outdoor Resort property marketing and event coordination, brand management, and internal logistics and monitoring for KOA corporate brand recognition programs like awards submissions, and executive speaking opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content Development and Management

  • Write, edit, and optimize blog content for Terramor Outdoor Resort’s Field Guide blog. Leveraging AI and SEO tools to enhance productivity and quality and posting to the Terramor website on a WordPress platform
  • Develop email campaigns for Terramor, ensuring compelling, brand-aligned messaging and design and working collaboratively with Terramor’s General Manager and Revenue Manager.
  • Maintain and update content on the Terramor website, focusing on user experience and SEO best practices.
  • Create and schedule engaging posts for Terramor’s social media platforms to grow audience engagement, brand awareness and encourage bookings.

 

 Branded Program Support

  • Assist in marketing efforts for high-profile corporate PR efforts, ensuring brand alignment and timely deliverables.
  • Support the planning and execution of awards submissions for KOA and Terramor, including content creation, logistics coordination, and promotion.
  • Manage speaker tracking, bios, and headshot coordination for executive and KOA speaker ambassadors.
  • Organize and refine presentation libraries for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring organizational quality and accessibility.

 

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the broader marketing team to align strategies and ensure consistent messaging across platforms.
  • Be the point of contact for Terramor’s on-property team to ensure events, menus, announcements, and other marketing content are communicated properly across platforms.
  • Liaise with external vendors or partners for specialized content or needs.
  • Provide additional support for various marketing initiatives as required.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, or a related role.
  • Experience in email marketing platforms, CMS tools, and social media management.

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and platforms, including AI content creation tools, WordPress (or other CMS), and email marketing platforms like Constant Contact or Mailchimp..
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and social media trends.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
