Customer Service Representative – Electrical Supply Mt. Vernon, IL

 

At Kirby Risk, a Customer Service Representative is a Multi-Faceted Role with Opportunities for Growth and Development! 

This role will work with internal and external customers to place and process customer orders, process repairs  in the warehouse, and work with vendors to support customer needs. 

What will I be doing as a Customer Service Representative? 

  • Provide Customer Service Excellence: Exceeding customer expectations and the commitments that we have made. 
  • Processes the repair of customer product and is the “go-to” for customer needs and challenges
  • Putting a smile on the face of our customers as you partner with the outside sales team to keep them satisfied
  • Joining forces with vendors to make sure products and repairs are delivered on time, every time
  • Championing corporate marketing initiatives, such as training events and product launches.
  • Taking advantage of the opportunity to build deeply satisfying relationships internally and externally.

 

As a CSR in the Electrical Supply Industry, you will work hands-on with customers and products, providing customer service excellence, in one or more of these essential areas:

  • Warehousing and Repairs
  • Counter Sales (Front of Store)
  • Inside Sales
  • Supporting and Partnering with Outside Sales and Marketing and Communications
  • Vendor Relations—Incoming and outgoing calls

 

Want to know if you are a good fit? If so, you will meet the following criteria:

  • College Course work and/or 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Be a quick study, willing and able to apply ongoing learning
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must Have a Valid Driver’s License

 

Preference is given to candidates with business-to-business sales experience and Electrical Supply and Distribution knowledge!

 

What are some of the Physical Requirements?

  • Must have Valid Driver’s License
  • Lifting to 50 lbs.
  • Answering Multi-Line Phone Systems
  • Managing/Taking Inventory
  • Unloading Shipments (semi)
  • Loading Customer Vehicles
  • Fork-lift experience preferred   

 

What is the schedule?

  • 7 am to 5 pm Monday thru Friday
  • Overtime as needed
