If you are looking for the next step in your career with Kirby Risk, we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager-Commodities position in Kokomo, Indiana. 

What will I do as a Project Manager-Commodities?
 

In this position, you will manage day-to-day quotes and order requests for wire and conduit and manage wire and conduit quotes/orders for large and small construction projects, from quotation to final billing for customers, to ensure project accuracy and customer satisfaction. Also, you will negotiate the best price, quality, shipping, and production schedules in a timely and accurate manner with vendors, identify and resolve inefficiencies, offer cost-saving initiatives to customers, and work with Purchasing to ensure adequate inventory for projects.

• Process customer requests quickly and accurately while upselling value-added solutions when applicable.
• Exhibiting a positive and professional attitude when working with internal and external customers.
• Reviewing and processing internal and external day-to-day quotes/orders in Solar Eclipse
• Working with Account Managers, Customer Service Reps, and customers in quoting, ordering, and managing large and small conduit and wire projects
• Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with key vendors and key customers
• Recognizing and promoting value add solutions, when applicable

Primary Requirements

• Ability to work well within a team and with multiple departments, exhibiting Kirby Risk Team Spirit
• Product knowledge (wire and conduit)
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills
• Detail-oriented in a fast-paced work environment
• Unquestionable work ethic and positive attitude
• Occasional travel to branch events and customer visits with Account Managers when directed by the Supervisor

Nice to have: Experience with Solar Eclipse and Excel

What is the schedule?

• Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Overtime as needed and approved ahead of time.
• Minimal travel
