We are seeking an early career Associate Human Resources Generalist or Sr. HR Coordinator to support our HR team and Associates as we navigate the upcoming closure of our Telford, TN location on or about October 2026. Position will be based on experience and education.
Summary/Purpose
|
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Human Resource function.
|
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
|
- Establish and manage hourly recruiting process to attract, select, and onboard qualified hourly associates.
- Use data, benchmarks or training to periodically review and determine if changes to the selection and onboarding processes are required. Where needed manage the change process to implement modifications.
- Management contingent staffing resources including temporary employee providers to best meet staffing needs within the approved budget.
- Schedule and work with JTEKT team to host recruiting events as needed to best meet staffing targets.
- Conduct interviews and administer other actions necessary to select qualified applicants.
- Responsible for maintaining JTEKT’s online and social medial strategy and tactics to best leverage employment branding to attract applicants.
- Benefits administration to include all benefit offerings to employees.
- Maintain HRIS records and compile HR reporting as needed.
- Complete all new hire and termination paperwork
- Respond to unemployment claims
- Monitor and update FMLA, STD, and Absence reporting system as necessary
- Maintain privacy of all PHI in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Maintain personnel files for all employees.
- Process transfers, shifts changes, promotions
- Support HR employee activities including Activities Committee, Communications Meetings, Open Enrollment, etc.
- Prepare weekly and month end and other HR reports (i.e. headcount, FMLA usage, attendance, organizational chart, etc.)
- Respond to wage and benefit surveys
- Organize and participate in community activities. Lead the Employee Activities Committee.
- Support OSHA reporting and Safety data management while administering the WC program at the facility.
- Work daily overtime when directed by immediate supervisor or, as necessary, to complete essential job duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
|
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills, able to work well under pressure and manage several tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Able to handle confidential information and maintain the highest legal and ethical standards
- Must be committed to providing excellent customer service, handling multiple complex tasks, and working in a high volume fast paced changing environment
- Basic knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems

Education and Experience:
|
- BS/BA Degree in Business or related field preferred
- Previous experience, 1 – 2 years, in benefits administration preferred
- Familiar with standard HR concepts, practices and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations concerning employment.

- Work is mostly performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with substantial time spent working on a computer. Requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment. Sit with intermittent walking, manual dexterity for such duties as stapling, collating, sorting, filing, typing, and writing. Communicate (hearing and speech) with individuals in person and by phone. Visually read reports, computer screen, etc.
- The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
- Travel by automobile and/or plane required approximately 5% of time.
