Summary/Purpose
|
The Human Resources Manager originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The direct scope of this position includes the HR, EHS, and Training functions. Develop policies and implements programs and procedures pertaining to the planning of human resources, recruiting, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, environmental, health & safety, and associate relations.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
- Lead and monitor primary functions of human relations including employee placement, development and retention; health, safety, onsite security, compensation and benefits; communication; training; and employee & community relations
- Serve as a company officer for strategic and operations compliance issues
- Support staff, supervisors, team leaders and team members by providing timely training, instruction and leadership with regards to their personal growth, job development and job performance.
- Establish and monitor baseline goals in areas that are supportive of current business conditions.
- Develop and enforce a consistent approach to performance management for both hourly and salary, process training and supervise team building.
- Monitor HR tracking systems such as head count, applicant tracking, EEO/AA reporting to insure accuracy as well as consistency and compliance with all state and federal laws.
- Be knowledgeable of Environmental (ISO 14001), Safety (ISO 45001) and Quality (IATF 16949) compliance standards related to the business and serves as the backup to the EHS Analyst
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance while building high associate moral.
- Supervise all recruiting, hiring, and retention programs.

- This position is responsible for supervising employees in accordance with policies and procedures.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
|
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of HR policies and procedures, employee benefit programs, employment law, compensation and benefits, employee recruitment and retention, federal safety regulations, and health and safety programs.
- Should be familiar with the rules and regulations of a variety of government agencies.
- Knowledge as an HR generalist employing all the major functional areas of HR-employee relations, benefit administration and EEO/AA administration and compliance and safety.
- Skills in supervision, project management, budget management, PC literacy.
- Leadership skills with ability to motivate large groups
- Positive attitude, highly motivated and high energy level
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to promote a positive team environment
- Solid problem-solving skills using a variety of statistical and root cause tools
- Excellent organizational skills that promote efficiency and leadership
- Ability to correct negative behavior fairly and consistently
- Flexible working hours, overtime and some travel required
- Knowledge and experience in High volume manufacturing with previous automotive experience.
- Must have integrity to deal with highly sensitive information.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in large groups and one-on-one situations.

Education and Experience:
|
- Qualified candidates will have a BS or BA in Human Resources/Manufacturing or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing
- 5+ years must be as a functional manager or direct supervisory position preferably in Human Resources
- Professional certification preferred

- Work is mostly performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with substantial time spent working on a computer. Requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment.
- The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
- Travel by automobile and plane required approximately 10% of time.
