Senior Account Executive, Phoenix Area
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Successfully identify, qualify and secure DMC business opportunities in the Phoenix Market
- Contribute to the company’s sales growth and achievement of financial goals
- Ensure financial efficiency by achieving individual sales goal and ensuring profitable program GOP
- Understand and successfully sell the MC&A product and its benefits
- Collaborate with National Sales Team on RFPs for Phoenix market to include defining project scope, proposal and budget development, site inspections and project management
- Conduct virtual and/or in-person capabilities presentations to clients and/or hoteliers
- Successfully manage a diverse portfolio of projects/programs in cooperation with Sales Account Coordinators, Creative Services and Operations Teams and continue to support through program completion and reconciliation
- Demonstrate ownership of project and provide assigned team with leadership and direction to ensure milestones are met throughout the lifecycle of the program
- Prioritize tasks and allocate resources accordingly to maximize business growth and ROI
- Secure Business Development opportunities through referrals to other MC&A offices and affiliates
- Spearhead local hotel/resort referral and partnership opportunities
- Represent MC&A in the marketplace via involvement in industry memberships, tradeshows (may require travel) and attendance at local industry events
- Mentor and train Account Executives in department as needed
- Provide ongoing support, direction and collaboration to Las Vegas AEs, PMs and ACs as needed
- Ensure that MC&A services and product offerings support current trends and demands of our clients
- Identify strategic selling techniques to meet sales objectives and maintain profitable program margin
- Submit accurate and timely monthly reports as requested by management
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 5+ years experience in DMC sales preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration preferred (or equivalent experience in the industry)
- Strong knowledge of Las Vegas market
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to easily adapt to other software programs (ie – VIPER, CRM, etc.)
- Ability to influence clients and sell broad range of MC&A services
- Strategic thinker and rational decision maker
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to lead as well as participate as a member of a team; ethical and respectful
- Excellent judgment and conflict resolution skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment
- Self-directed
- Ability to work independently and responsibly in a remote work model
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Travel will be required
- Must reside in Phoenix area
