WHO WE ARE: Health WoRx is an onsite health clinic that is dedicated to the care of Associate-Owners and their families that are employed by Weller Truck Parts in Grand Rapids, MI.
Position Summary: As a member of the Health WoRx team, the Occupational Therapist performs duties in the following functional areas: Providing Early Symptom Intervention (ESI), providing on-site physician ordered Occupational Therapy services for Weller Truck Parts Associates and covered family members, treatment of various injuries within the scope of practice for Occupational Therapy, implementing and providing proactive measurement tools and oversight for OT needs, maintaining and improving Weller Truck Parts stretch program, assists and oversees new Associate work conditioning program, communicate with safety and managers in progression of worker’s compensation cases, and provide input and assistance with Weller Truck Parts corporate goals & initiatives.
A thorough knowledge of occupational therapy with a strong ability to work independently is required for this position. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and be able to problem solve (reactive and proactive) to ensure the best interest of Associates are balanced with corporate needs and the necessary direction of the company.

Responsibilities:
- Provides oversight and supervision to Occupational Therapy Assistant according to Michigan license laws
- Early Symptom Intervention (ESI) program
- Provides on-site Occupational Therapy services (Burlingame, Reman Center, Grandville locations)
- Conducts Proactive Audits utilizing various assessments and resources
- Provides ergonomic recommendations
- Educates/trains/maintains stretch program
- Facilitates and leads new Associate work conditioning program
- Tracks/orders braces
- Orders occupational therapy supplies
- Provides leadership classes on-site
- Provides oversight to deep muscle therapy
- Communicates with safety team and management regarding worker’s compensation cases
- Attends weekly safety meetings
- Maintains CEU’s for Michigan License and National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Must have an active Michigan Occupational Therapy License.
- Recommend credentialing through National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Must have graduated from an accredited occupational therapy program.
- Ability to evaluate various diagnoses and develop appropriate plans of care.
- Ability to treat according to plan of care.
- Ability to also speak Spanish is strongly desired.
- Additional training in ergonomics.
- Knowledge and application of federal and state workers compensation laws and experience with legal documents.
- Effective oral and written communications, effectively relating at all levels.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Computer skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
- Documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EPIC).
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify and deliver creative recommendations/solutions.
- Practices a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA).
- CPR training.
