Position Responsibilities:
- Disassembles, diagnoses, and repairs heavy duty truck transmissions, differentials, steering gears, pumps, and other drivetrain components.
- Cleans and inspects all parts associated with the remanufactured product being worked on.
- Follows company procedures to request components needed for the remanufacturing process.
- Performs remanufacturing process in accordance with OEM manufacturers recommendations, company policy and/or any applicable State and Federal regulations.
- Works with Dyno operators and other associates to troubleshoot issues found during the testing phase to ensure an exceptional quality product is being shipped to customers.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Follows all safety protocols.
- Acts as a mentor with less experienced associates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Vocational and technical in automotive repair, preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with mechanical repairs, required.
- ASE T, S, and/or MIL certifications or State of Michigan certification, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking during a shift.
- Must be able to use hands on a routine and daily basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel and/or otherwise operate required tools or controls.
- Must be able to be an active listener and able to communicate in a clear and precise manner.
- Works in a manufacturing environment that may have fluctuating temperatures.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.

Weller Truck Parts began its history in 1928 as a small company that found value in recycled parts for the auto industry. Over the years, Weller has grown into a thriving business dedicated to the remanufacturing of heavy truck driveline components. In 2014, Weller became a 100% Associate Owned ESOP company and is a member of the Jasper Holding family of companies. For today, and beyond, Weller remains dedicating to “out servicing” the competition and removing the otherwise defunct units and parts from the path to a landfill.
