Position Purpose

This position is responsible for providing direction on the execution of training activities for JCB, Inc. Incumbent works in close partnership with all functional management to identify training needs and recommend solutions.  This position is also responsible for providing guidance to management in prioritizing training needs as well as conducting training.

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Works with functional leadership to determine company-wide training opportunities that integrate with group-wide objectives
  • Plan and prioritize necessary training curriculum around targeted operational needs to educate and develop all levels of management and other team members
  • Partner and provide guidance to JCB, Inc., management on the development of training programs necessary to meet JCB training needs
  • Oversee execution of all training that impacts JCB, Inc.
  • Review and evaluate effectiveness of programs
  • Conduct selected programs as appropriate
    • Leadership, selling, interpersonal and teambuilding skills development
  • Design and develop JCB, Inc., training materials as needed
  • Select, develop, train, direct and motivate trainers and assigned staff
  • Propose, manage and achieve the agreed fiscal budget for training
  • Select and recruit external consultants as required to fulfill specific training and development requirements
  • Design programs based on optimal delivery mediums:
    • Web-based versus platform training 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Eight years of relevant work experience working in a training environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Ten years of relevant work experience in training
  • Fourteen years of experience in a leadership capacity
  • Leadership in progressive organizations and cultures a plus

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • Extensive expertise with training
  • Expected to personally design and deliver training, leadership, interpersonal skills and selling skills
  • Project planning and leadership experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills
  • Proficiency with instructional design knowledge
    • Understanding what mediums best apply to a variety of situations
  • Knowledgeable of state-of-the-art delivery mechanisms
  • Working knowledge and experience of capital equipment organizations that have distribution and aftermarket sales

 

Job Conditions

  • Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment
  • Subject to noise and temperature changes
