Position Summary
This exciting senior role will be responsible for rapidly expanding the size of JCB North America’s dealer footprint over the next five years. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategic growth of JCB North America’s dealer network, including developing and executing plans to recruit new dealers, responsibly expanding high performing dealers, enhancing existing dealer relationships, and optimizing the entire dealer network to provide significant share growth for JCB in North America. This position will further be responsible for analyzing market data, identifying optimal locations for new dealerships, and creating long-term plans to optimize sales and customer satisfaction across the dealer network.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive dealer business and location strategies aligned with company goals, including market penetration, new dealer recruitment, and existing dealer retention and expansion plans.
- Conduct thorough market research and assess the competitive landscape to identify potential new locations and growth opportunities while analyzing the existing network of locations to optimize the entire dealer channel.
- Identify and recruit new dealers to expand the company's sales reach into new, uncovered or under-covered markets.
- Identify, connect and secure potential investors through industry events, professional associations, and personal connections.
- Develop & deliver compelling presentations highlighting JCB North America’s strengths, market opportunity, and financial projections.
- Successfully build, lead, and develop a network development team to support the optimization of the JCB dealer channel.
- Manage the process of onboarding, training, equipping and supporting new dealers to ensure success.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in dealer recruitment, sales, or network development within a relevant industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
- Excellent business acumen.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, build consensus, and influence decision-making at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret multiple levels of data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with dealers, prospects, investors and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans for dealer network growth and development.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and agreements with dealers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Job Conditions:
- 40% Travel
- Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment
