POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

The Director of a Preventive Services Program provides leadership to the staff of the Program is instrumental in designing the overall mission of the program and is responsible for taking all steps necessary to ensure that its goals are implemented in line with Agency expectations and practices.

 

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (List the functions that are essential to achieve the goals):

 

  • Has overall clinical and administrative responsibility for the program’s staff; including staff supervision, training and development
  • Provides direct clinical supervision to social work staff, including clinical supervisory staff
  • Supervises intake, case and group assignments and case closings.
  • Coordinates Psychiatric assignments and workload.
  • Identifies, establishes and maintains relationships with community representatives and groups in order to establish enhanced linkages for the client population.  Is primary liaison/advocate with ACS for all specific program needs
  • Sits on the local community advisory committee to more effectively identify community needs and resources
  • Supervises the Office Manager for the program and oversees all required administrative work.
  • Participates in the recruitment process and has the ultimate responsibility for candidate selection.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all internal/external regulatory requirements are met.
  • Has responsible for development and adherence to department budget.

EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED (List all that is required to achieve this position):

 

  • MSW with State Certification, Minimum of five years of related experience, at least two of which include the supervision of clinical staff

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE (List what the desire to reach goals):

 

  • Experience with multi-problem families may be required

 

COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED (List the computer skills needed):
