Janney’s Wealth Management Advisory Solutions team is comprised of several key business areas that assist in delivering high quality investment product, services and technology to our Advisors.

 

The Wealth Management Technology Business Analyst will work with the Director of WM Technology and key stakeholders to further develop the long-term strategic roadmap for the advisory platform and oversee suite of Advisor facing technology initiatives incorporating the holistic Wealth Management process and Advisor experience.  

 

The ideal candidate will understand and anticipate financial advisor’s needs, understand the competitive landscape with regards to technology platforms, and collaborate with key stakeholders for projects from concept to delivery and demonstrate strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.  Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated background as a self-starter and the ability to manage initiatives that require interactions across multiple departments (ie: IT, Operations, Marketing, Legal and Compliance)

  • Project Management: Handle ongoing development of systems while effectively coordinating with internal and external stakeholders

  • Building Relationships: Connecting with others in a way that fosters trust and creates collaborative relationships.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Offer consultative support to Janney’s financial advisors as they seek to grow their fee-based advisory business
  • Partner to implement the strategic technology plan for Wealth Management
  • Gather, review, and analyze stakeholder needs, business and operational processes for problem resolutions or process improvements
  • Write business requirements for technology implementation
  • Write user acceptance test cases and execute UAT
  • Develop a deep understanding of other products offered within Wealth Management such as cash management & lending and executive services that may require ad hoc support

 

What you have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of business analyst and product development experience within the financial services industry, with broker/dealer experience
  • Project management and/or experience and the ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities is crucial to success in this role
  • Series 7 strongly preferred or the ability to pass the exam within 1 year
  • Sound time management skills, project management skills, and consistent ability to meet deadlines. PMP or similar project management certification is preferred
  • High level of initiative, motivation, attention to detail, positive attitude, and the ability to work in a self-directed manner
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. 
  • Proven written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all organizational levels
