Pay:  $110,000 - $130,000/yr. DOE, plus bonus opportunity.

ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC is a joint venture owned by Chevron and Jacksons Food Stores.  The ExtraMile system is currently made up of more than 1100 convenience stores in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi.  The growth of the Company has resulted in opportunities to expand the ExtraMile brand within the current footprint, as well as to other states – resulting in exciting new employment opportunities.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager that will be home-based in the Phoenix, Arizona metro market.  This position requires the ability to communicate with all levels of the Company, but most importantly with our franchise, internal partners, and suppliers. 

When not in the field managing project deliverables, the position will be home-based, and the candidate must reside in the Phoenix, Arizona metro area.

As the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage multiple site projects that comprise the market growth pipeline
  • Clearly define scope, goals, and milestones with project stakeholders
  • Manage budgets and schedules at individual project levels while meeting program level completion goals.
  • Evaluate, develop, and document scope and corresponding schedule and assign appropriate budget costs.
  • Ability to read, evaluate and understand architectural and engineering plans with high efficiency.
  • Conduct site and bid reviews with Owner, Retail Manager and/or General Contractor for scope verification, quality control and branding compliance.
  • Conduct and document project specific weekly meetings, prepare/update project status reports and maintain files for due diligence and financials.
  • Manage Equipment and material procurement, tracking, warehousing, and delivery coordination for 20-30 projects per year. 
  • Manage plan and spec analysis to provide clear, documented and coordinated equipment specs for assigned projects.
  • Conducts construction site walks and reports on progress, percent complete, issues and potential changes in scope/budget.
  • Achieve objectives by working closely with support team towards enforcing conversion standards, problem solving and developing process solutions to drive project efficiency.
  • Support new franchise openings and ensure compliance with franchise image and equipment standards. 
  • Close out projects, complete final cost reconciliation package and coordinate final sign off.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, or related field preferred or Minimum of 3 years of relevant retail project management experience.
  • Knowledge of convenience store (C-store) operations and Franchise business model a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task within a team structure and independently.
  • High level of proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • High level of proficiency and working knowledge of Smartsheets and Blue beam software.  (or comparable tools)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.
  • Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to travel within state and out of state 50% of the time.
