The Manager of Donor Communications & Stewardship at Idaho Youth Ranch plays an essential role in nurturing these vital relationships. Through personalized communications and thoughtful stewardship, this position ensures donors understand how their support helps young people and families overcome adversity, trauma, and loss.

You will be putting your unique talents in relationship building and storytelling to work, showing donors how their support transforms into tangible hope for Idaho's kids while being part of a supportive team environment.

From crafting compelling newsletters and impact reports to developing strategic stewardship campaigns, our Donor Communications Manager must excel at sharing stories that demonstrate impact and inspire ongoing engagement with our cause.

We are looking for someone who understands that every communication is an opportunity to strengthen donor relationships and demonstrate their impact. This role requires someone who can create and execute comprehensive donor communications that speak authentically to supporters while celebrating their crucial role in transforming young lives.

We use proven therapies and programs to help kids who have experienced loss or adversity transform childhood trauma into hope. We offer a statewide network of services to kids 9–24 years old and their families, including outpatient therapies, residential care, adoption services, and career readiness.

As the Manager – Donor Communication & Stewardship, your work directly impacts our ability provide life-changing therapies to the youth we serve. You play a lead role in developing new supporters in reaching our long term and immediate financial goals. As a leader in maximizing donor passion and fundraising goals, you play a critical role in support for Idaho Youth Ranch.

 

Must Haves:

    • 3+ years of experience in the donor communication or marketing field with responsibility for areas such as planning, traditional and social media, newsletters, annual reports, donor communications and general fundraising.
    • Demonstrated success as a results-driven communications professional.
    • Experience developing effective copy and content for a variety of traditional and digital communication channels.
    • Excellent verbal, written/editing and presentation skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders

Preferred:

    • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications or related field

 

Our Marketing Manager:

  • Collaborate with IYR Leadership to develop comprehensive annual plans for donor acquisition, stewardship, and solicitation and establish measureable objectives and action plans aligned with strategic goals
  • Lead budget development and manage spending for assigned areas
  • Transform operational data, stories, and metrics into compelling donor communications for our print newsletter and annual impact report.
  • Analyze data to optimize donor strategies and ensure consistent, well-executed engagement to optimize content
  • Collaborate with Events team to develop comprehensive marketing plans including event specific communications, graphics and digital assets that drive attendance and support fundraising goals.

 

As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, the Idaho Youth Ranch is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program. The PLSF offers student loan forgiveness on qualifying loans under specific conditions. Speak with your loan provider for more information.
