Director, Compensation, Benefits and HRIS

How you will make an impact:
As a key member of the Human Resources leadership team, you will lead the strategic direction, operational excellence, and legal compliance for all compensation and benefits programs as well as design and deliver an HRIS strategy that provides, accurate, timely, and relevant human resource information, data, and insights to inform business planning and decision making.
- Lead the strategy, design, and execution of our total rewards programs to attract and retain the best talent, ensure equity and compliance, and balance cost.
- Continuously review, benchmark, and analyze our Total Rewards programs and recommend changes when necessary to ensure alignment to business strategy.
- Oversee development and management of annual compensation programs, including salary and merit increases, equity and benchmarking reviews, and promotions.
- Collaborate with and provide advice to the HR team and business leaders to develop and execute compensation solutions to meet the needs of daily operations. Advise on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretations, and job evaluations.
- Lead, manage, and develop our compensation, benefits, and HRIS team and help build capability within the broader HR team.
- Oversee negotiations with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors, and consultants for services, premiums and plan administration.
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive and effective communication strategy in partnership with Corporate Communications for all Total Rewards programs.
- Provide strategic oversight of Board and Executive compensation. Prepare materials and engage in board level discussions and recommendations on program design.
- Design a multi-year HRIS strategy and implement continuous improvements to HR systems, data, and processes.
- Develop and coordinate management, reporting and metrics of all HR programs to present a holistic view for the Board and Senior Leadership Team.
- Develop, implement, review, and/or update relevant HR forms, plan documents, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, in partnership with legal counsel.
- Prepare a variety of compensation data and incentive plan costs for the Finance department’s use for tax filings, financial reports and general budgeting.
- Manage on-going employee data, compliance, and audit activities.
What we are looking for:

- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration and/or related education/experience. Advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years HR experience. Subject matter expertise in compensation, benefits, and HRIS.
- Experience in total compensation and benefits design, full life-cycle planning and implementation, budget planning, salary survey management, compliance, and vendor/broker partnerships.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence, build relationships, and trust at all levels and across departments.
- Strategic leader with exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including ability to prepare materials for audiences at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends, develop recommendations, and prioritize for action based on the analysis.
- Demonstrated ability and courage to manage change.
- Ability to handle complex and sensitive discussions and processes with diplomacy.
- Ability to lead cross-functional efforts and initiatives aimed at improving organizational performance, seeking input from, and collaborating with key partners.
