The Systems Engineer is responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining on-premises and cloud applications, servers, storage, and other IT infrastructure. The position reports to the Director of IT and will be expected to plan, install, configure, and manage all aspects of IT infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and cost-effective delivery of services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installs, configures, and upgrades networked servers, peripherals and storage systems using established procedures.
- Establishes server access for authorized users with logon ID and password and maintains appropriate records using established procedures.
- Ensures operating system(s) and software are current and correctly configured through automated methods.
- Diagnoses hardware and software problems and determines appropriate corrective action.
- Identifies and maintains documentation for support personnel for installation, configuration and support of network and workstation hardware and software.
- Ensures that all network shared resources are properly configured, secured and accessible.
- Responsible for following any policies, procedures, and controls established by the organization, the HIPAA Privacy Officer, and/or the HIPAA Security Officer regarding access to, protection of, and the use of the ePHI.
- Establish, perform, and maintain comprehensible backup and retention of company data and email.
- Establish, perform, and maintain written documentation of systems schemas for all local and cloud-based solutions.
- With IT Director, establish and maintain all systems disaster recovery plans.
- With IT Director, maintain all systems hardware and services warranty services and lifecycle renewals/replacements.
- Periodically test, analyze, verify, and optimize the organization’s systems infrastructure disaster recovery plan and procedures.
- With IT Director, provide annual written review and results of the technical systems infrastructure as required by current certifying agencies.
- Required to commute between company locations to provide on-site IT service and troubleshooting.
- With IT Director, manages relationships with outsourced infrastructure vendors and monitors their support and maintenance of company systems in that environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education and Experience – Four-year degree in Technology required, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience - Five (5) years of experience in Windows Server environments, 1-3 years’ experience configuring and administering Microsoft 365 Enterprise cloud solutions and experience deploying and administering VMware environments.
- Certification – Comp TIA Certification, Microsoft Certifications, or other IT industry standard certifications a plus.
REGULATORY
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Arizona Driver’s License, 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration and liability insurance that meets insurance requirements.
- Must possess Level 1 fingerprint clearance card and maintain throughout employment.
