GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general supervision the IT Specialist I provides client desktop support, either remote or in person, including the troubleshooting, installation and repair of related network, hardware, and software components.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides customer-oriented support services to end users in a professional manner.
- Installs, configures, and upgrades networked workstations, servers, and peripherals using established procedures.
- Returns networked workstations to established configurations.
- Establish networked workstations configurations.
- Performs and supervises workstation migrations.
- Provides information regarding established policies and procedures to users.
- Establishes server access for authorized users with logon ID and password and maintains appropriate records using established procedures.
- Ensures operating system(s) and software are current and correctly configured.
- Installs and monitors computer hardware to ensure that equipment is correctly configured and in proper working condition.
- Diagnoses hardware and software problems and determines appropriate corrective action.
- Identifies and maintains documentation for support personnel for installation, configuration and support of network and workstation hardware and software.
- Ensures that copy rights and privacy rights are protected.
- Ensures that users’ and systems’ network folders are properly secured
- Assists higher level technical specialists as directed
- Perform and supervise hardware inventory process.
- Required to commute between company locations to provide on-site IT service and troubleshooting.
- Responsible for following any policies, procedures, and controls established by the organization, the HIPAA Privacy Officer, and/or the HIPAA Security Officer regarding access to, protection of, and the use of the PHI.
- Performs other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education – Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience – Five (5) years of experience in Windows 7/8/10 environment and some experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Certification – Comp TIA Certification, Microsoft Certifications, or other IT industry standard certifications a plus.
REGULATORY:
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- DPS Level I fingerprint clearance (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
- CPR, First Aid, AED certification, if required (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
- Current, valid Arizona Driver’s License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements, if required.
- Initial current negative TB test result, if required (Employer provides).
