TITLE: Inventory Coordinator II

 

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The primary responsibility for the Inventory Coordinator is to maintain inventory accuracy in the distribution center through cycle counts.

  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED) and 2 - 5 years of experience showing increasing levels of responsibility related to operations and inventory control and training with automated (RF) warehouse management systems and computers.  SAP and/or AS400 is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret cycle count documents.  Ability to compile error rate data and communicate to warehouse management team to provide employee training and standards of operation.  Ability to speak effectively with all employees and outside vendors as necessary.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math to provide inventory leel alignment in SAP and or IBS / AS400
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.  Ability to draw sound conclusions based upon verified data and facts.
  • Should have strong general computer skills and must have two to five years of experience using computers to resolve inventory accuracy issues within an automated (RF) warehouse manufacturing system.  Must be proficient in both SAP or AS400, and demonstrate a strong working knowledge of MS Office, such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transact the SAP or IBS warehouse management system to maintain accurate inventory levels in the Warehouse and Distribution Center.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite of products to support the gathering/summary of data from SAP/IBS
  • Maintaining inventory balances for materials stored in the facility and off-site storage facility
  • Execute daily and weekly cycle counts in the facility and off-site storage facility
  • Research, analyze, and resolve inventory variances utilizing the correct transactions in SAP
  • Make sure replenishments are always prepared for the proper stocking of fence locations
  • Assist in transferring and adjustments for Storage Location 8000/9000
  • Assist with compiling of error rates in the put away and replenishment functions to assist in training and maintaining a standard of accuracy for these functions
  • Assist in the shipping area to assist Shipping Coordinators in trouble shooting pick errors to provide feedback and maintain inventory integrity
  • Maintain the accuracy and housekeeping of pick fences through cycle counts and re-stacking/re-organizing locations as well as clearing out empty pallets and debris
  • Conduct daily review of all put away and replenishment errors for training purposes
  • Compile and maintain multiple reports in Excel for Inventory Control, Finance, and other cross team functions.
  • Ensure all month end counts are fully completed and applicable management approvals are received in a timely manner
  • Must be certified on all power lift equipment in order to access product in floor locations as well as rack locations to provide accurate counts
  • Maintain the storage trailer fleet inventory as needed.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
  • Extreme cold in the winter and extreme heat in the summer time.
