The Camp Director, Basketball is responsible for strategic planning, quality assurance and growth of our Basketball camps and similar programs and events.
Position Responsibilities

Oversees the Basketball camp programs managing students, coaches and programs to maximize the delivery, quality and overall efficiency

Works with Sales, Marketing and PR staffs to promote and sell programs

Works with Basketball Director to ensure staffing ratios are maintained to accommodate program growth

Sets up and manages camp program schedules

Assigns students into appropriate groups

Responsible for weekly camp orientations and introductions to the Academy and the features and benefits of its various academic and athletic programs

Develops motivational approach to practices and games

Interacts with the camp students as a mentor and as an educator in the sport

Effectively communicates to camp students and their parents/guardians as appropriate

Ensures that proper safety is maintained

Manages time effectively, meeting personal and company goals and working effectively with other members of the staff

Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes

Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Extensive knowledge of youth Basketball worldwide and emerging trends
-
Experience in coaching &/or playing at the professional &/or collegiate level
-
Proficiency in all Basketball training and instructional techniques

Excellent teaching, management, communication and supervisory skills

Strong commitment to student-athletes and their development

Experience with MS Office
-
Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
-
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business or sport-related major

Management experience to include coaching

Bilingual
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.

Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
