The general salary range for this position is $133,800 – $214,200. Salary offers will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, training and education.

Humane World for Animals, a global leader in animal advocacy and protection, is seeking a Managing Director, Global Infrastructure for the Technology & Information Solutions department.  This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing our Infrastructure and applications on a global scale. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping our technology strategy and ensuring the design, implementation, and maintenance of our technology infrastructure. The primary responsibilities include championing the effective application of technology globally, addressing business needs, facilitating business changes, and supporting our technology growth trajectory on an international level.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Oversees the Infrastructure and Service Desk teams, guiding them to achieve their objectives by offering mentorship, training, performance management, leadership development, and career advancement opportunities, ensuring that the team consistently reaches their goals;
• Collaborates with the Senior Vice President of Technology & Information Solutions and the Chief Operating Officer to co-create the technology strategic plan and roadmap. Implements strategic process governance across all operational processes, leveraging the industry-standard Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework. Ensures effective management of policies, procedures, roles, responsibilities, and enabling technology throughout the enterprise, coordinating efforts with both internal and external service providers;
• Oversees the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of our technology infrastructure, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and aligned with our global technology strategy.  Partners with the SVP and Director of PMO to develop and execute a strategic vision for the organization's applications portfolio, ensuring alignment with global business objectives, regional needs, and technology advancements. This role plays a key part in determining the application ownership, resources, and collaboration needed to ensure proper application governance and support to sustain the portfolio effectively;
• Develops and executes a global technology infrastructure strategy that aligns with our business objectives and supports our growth on an international scale;
• Provides effective and ethical technology leadership, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity, with a focus on global technology strategy;
• Encourages innovation and automation in technology processes to optimize efficiency and productivity, considering the global context and strategy;
• Delivers technology services to various end-users in a global, hybrid-remote work environment, ensuring a seamless and productive digital work experience across diverse regions in line with our global technology strategy;
• Collaborates with senior leaders of business areas to integrate and align technology services to support the enterprise strategic plan;
• Strategically identifies and drives continuous improvement to the operational processes and controls the changes to the configurable items through a release plan structure.  Follows structured project management processes to drive change. In concert with the Project Management Office, communicates escalations, technology project updates, and planned changes including a forward schedule of change;
• Ensures processes provide appropriate controls to support audits, compliance, and other regulatory needs;
• Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other related field, or equivalent work experience required. Master’s Degree preferred;
• 5+ years’ experience in people management;
• Experience in managing cross-functional process teams in support of technology operations;
• Experience managing third-party relationships including contract management, governance, change orders, and performance management strongly preferred;
• Process management experience to include troubleshooting and analysis associated with root cause analysis, process flow documentation and analysis, performance measurement establishment and controls, role and responsibility definition, policy and procedure development, and management of the enabling process technology strongly preferred;
•In-depth knowledge of technology infrastructure and applications, with a global perspective;
•Leadership ability in a work setting. Flexible, willing to learn, and anticipates the needs of self and staff;
•Adapts quickly to changing conditions and proactively communicates risk and mitigation plans across C-suite and V-level teams as appropriate;
•Project management skills for planning, executing and following up on issues and projects, ability to develop and execute strategy related to global infrastructure, applications, and Service Desk;
•Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive;
•Ability to manage issues requiring problem resolution and conflict management with excellent interpersonal and intervention skills;
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
•Knowledge of business operations, including effective budget development and management processes;
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes;
• Willing and able to travel as needed to support the operational environment;
• Strong interest in animal protection issues preferred.
