Music Therapist Temporary On-Call
JOB SUMMARY:
Sycamores provides a spectrum of equitable mental health services through various programs to multicultural populations of all acuities. Although it serves a variety of consumers, the agency focuses primarily on providing care to low-income, high at- risk youth.
The role of the On-call Music Therapist is an opportunity to help the foster youth in our STRTP to express emotions in a positive manner while exploring their creativity. The On-Call Music Therapist is also responsible for ensuring proper care is provided in accordance with program. The On-Call Music Therapist will provide services at the El Nido residential location and will provide clinical interventions using music and other expressive arts when indicated.
This role is a temporary engagement due to being funded via the Pasadena Showcase House 2024 grant.
STARTING PAY RANGE:
$27 - $28.84 per hour (starting pay will be based on previous work experience and educational background.)

Job Qualifications:
- Masters’ Degree in related field required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered MFT, MSW, APCC or Psy. D/Ph. D Intern in California
- Must have a valid intern number registered with the state and in good standing.
- Must maintain valid intern number, registration and good standing with the state as a condition of employment.
- Experience using music and expressive arts in a behavioral health setting.
- Experience with instruments, music, media and sound equipment.
- Music Therapy certification preferred
- Attend and satisfactorily complete all trainings required by the Agency, federal, state and/or local regulations.
- DMH experience preferred.
- Fluent in English required.
